Technical Program: CL Futbol Fundamentals

 

The aim and purpose of the technical program is to provide all players regardless of their club/academy affiliations the opportunity to train and improve upon the most essential aspects of their individual game. The program is designed to be challenging in order to prepare players to perform at the highest level. The environment is open for players to improve upon their weaker aspects without fearing any consequences. The individualized training is structured so players can feel comfortable developing all aspects of their game ensuring that they become complete players.

 

Ages: 10-16

 

Positional Program: Team Seasonal Plan

 

The aim and purpose of the positional program is to provide players with the opportunity to perform technical actions associated with their given position in order to improve technical efficiency and increase their decision making speed. This program has players work in their specific areas on the field while game like situations are rehearsed in order to increase their technical efficiency in situations they will individually encounter in the game. The positional program is conducted when CL Futbol is running a seasonal plan for a team.

 

 

Example Session:

 

Position: Striker

 

Technical Aspect: Shielding in the final third, lay off, spin off defender, finish one touch from penetrating ball into space.

 

 

Fitness Program: Team Seasonal Plan

 

This program is designed to target players' physical attributes to help them become more effective footballers. This program is heavily stressed during pre-season in order to ensure that players can perform at their maximum ability for the full duration of the game. The positional program is conducted when CL Futbol is running a seasonal plan for a team. The categories of the fitness program are broken into four sections: 

 

  • Aerobic (endurance): Through football interval training.

  • Strength: Through body weight strengthening exercises focusing on core and legs.

  • Speed: Through short distance change of direction relative to football.

  • Power: Through plyometric movements relative to football.  

 

 

Tactical Program: Team Seasonal Plan

 

The tactical aspect of the seasonal plan is designed to ensure that all the individual qualities which are worked on in the Seasonal Plan and Technical Program are used to execute tactical instructions in the most effective manner possible. The positional program is conducted when CL Futbol is running a seasonal plan for a team. The Tactical Program is divided into sub sections and methods of training which include:

 

  • Functional: To work on specific areas of the game as a unit.

  • Phase of Play: To work on complex aspects of team play.

  • Shadow: To provide players with a clear vision of how we wish to play.
